We are enrolling participants for A 12-Week Yoga and Ayurveda Program for Reducing Autism Severity in Children
Children, each supported by one parent, will attend one hour yoga sessions lead by a Yoga teacher three times a week at SARVAM School. In addition, parents or family members will administer selected Ayurvedic herbal formulation and other protocols at home at least five days a week. Parents will attend 90 minutes online meetings on Saturdays every 2 weeks for the duration of the study.

Parents with children who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply

  • Children aged 5 - 12 years, male or female
  • A formal ASD diagnosis from a licensed healthcare provider
  • Mild to moderate severity rating for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Parents must be able to understand instructions given in English
  • Able to come to SARVAM School for Yoga classes 3 times a week
  • Willing to try Ayurvedic herbal formulation and other protocols for their child
All racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups will be given the opportunity to participate on a first-come first-serve basis and will be treated equally. Applying doesn't guarantee participation. Only applicants who meet the research study selection and exclusion criteria will be enrolled in the study. No remuneration is offered for participation. Materials required for the study will be provided.
This research study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of Maharishi International University and the Board of Sarvam Educational Foundation.
